we had a pleasant experience at the connaught. the rooms were quite nice, spacious, and very clean, which made our stay comfortable. the comfy beds and large tvs were definitely a plus, and we appreciated the ample hanging space and the good layout overall. the bathroom was also well maintained, with a nice shower. additionally, the friendly staff and convenient free parking made our visit even better.
None 😞.

I had a decent stay overall! The location was perfect, just a short walk from some great eateries. The bed was super comfy, which is a must after a long day of exploring.
There were some major letdowns. No breakfast was available, and the coffee sachets were expired! To top it off, the lift was out of order, making it a struggle for anyone with luggage.

The bed was comfortable. Even though the room overlooked a busy main road, keeping the windows closed meant you could not hear the traffic.
Did not like that it did live up to expectations. When the room was booked., free bottle of wine and mineral water were in with the price but never materialised. On checking out, staff never asked if we had enjoyed our stay.

The location is perfect for a last-minute stay, and I appreciated the free parking. Just be aware that amenities are basic and some areas might feel a bit cramped. Worth it for the price!

The hotel is undergoing major refurbishment, the room was dated and the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable.

I was closer to Birmingham than I would have been had I stayed at home!
There was no mention of the extensive refurbishment works taking place and/or the extensive number of stairs that needed to be climbed to get to the room.

Even though it was very close to the city centre the bedroom was very quiet. The food is excellent
The wifi was not strong enough in the rooms. To access the Internet I had to use the public rooms where the signal was strong enough
